Janneta
Shidlovskaia
She is a
painter unrestricted by a certain genre… Drawing, easel painting,
gouache, pastel, water-colour.
Metal and
glass painting occupies a significant place in her creative work.
She prides herself on large-scale stained glass windows for churches
and public places performed with the employment of classical
techniques. Combining three-dimensional stained glass and metal
Janneta created a new development in arts. Her understanding of
stained glass sculpture is a fresh perception of traditional
material.
Finland,
Poland, Belarus, Russia, Germany, the U.S.A. – those are the
countries where Janneta Shidlovskaia’s works found their admirers.
In 2000 the painter was awarded the gold medal and the prize for the
first place in the Original Technique nomination in World of Metal –
Metal in Arts Contest at Metallurgy 2000 Second International
Exhibition in Saint-Petersburg. The stained
glass windows performed for Polish churches represent a significant
stage in the creative work of the painter. In 1994 Janneta won the
contest determining a future author of Ezhi Popelushko’s memorial
and thus got a chance to create mosaics for the museum at St.
Stanislav Kostka Church. In 1996-1997 she also performed stained
glass windows for the church. Piligrims from various countries visit
this famous church. Janetta has
